A postscript to Nant-yr-Ych.
The 1850 entry of marriage for Richard Jones gives Samuel’s occupation as “Farmer”. Here is Samuel in 1851.
Here its says: Ag Lab occupying 1 acre. I suggest smallholder would have been nearer ro the truth, but who was to know?
