One of the obvious things the www provides is access to a global audience. When I began this blog I wondered where any followers and viewers would come from. Well, recently a 50th country, Vietnam, and then a 51st, Finland, were added to those places.
Naturally, most views are from the UK, but beyond USA, Canada, Australia and New Zealand, where folks might be pursuing related family history lines, some are quite surprising. For example, what would be the appeal to someone from Finland, Mexico, or the Philippines? I guess most of them were looking for something else, but happened on a tag that meant something different to them. Maybe they are thinking of hiring a boat. Who knows?
There have also been views from places that are not independent states: Bermuda, Guernsey, Hong Kong SAR China, Jersey, Isle of Man, and “European Union”.
Here is a full alphabetical list of the 51 countries so far: Argentina, Armenia, Australia, Austria, Bahamas, Bangladesh, Belgium, Brazil, Canada, Cyprus, Czechia (formerly Czech Republic), Denmark, Egypt, El Salvador, Finland, France, Germany, Greece, Hungary, India, Indonesia, Ireland, Italy, Latvia, Mexico, Morocco, Myanmar, Namibia, Netherlands, New Zealand, Nigeria, Norway, Pakistan, Philippines, Poland, Portugal, Romania, Russia, Singapore, Saudi Arabia, South Africa, Sweden, Switzerland, Taiwan, Thailand, Turkey, United Arab Emirates, Ukraine, USA, Vietnam.
